Shelby & Steven || The Teachout Building

We loved seeing something a bit different for this Summer wedding. Shelby & Steven were married these Summer and chose a dark, moody palette for their decor. There were so many special items and moments that were a part of this day.

Shelby & Steven were married at the Teachout Building in the East Village of Des Moines. This is a stunning, industrial venue with exposed brick and wooden beams that give it so much character. One of the special touches for Shelby’s look was wearing the Kate Spade earrings that her oldest sister wore on her wedding day! She also had her bouquet wrapped in a handkerchief from her late grandmother as well as broach from the groom’s late grandmother. A sweet memorial to those not able to celebrate with them.

The combination of different shades of green for the women, black tux’s for the guys and mixed metals incorporated throughout the decor was the perfect vibe for this venue and our bride and groom. Such a special day for this couple and we were so happy to be a part of it! Congratulations Steven & Shelby!
